Named for the co-owners’ culinary gifted mother who once oversaw her own restaurant in Mexico, this homey looking Gladstone Park storefront offers south-of-the-border favorites.
Malena Basave and Ana Arriaga, sisters from the small town of Tilzapotla in the state of Morelos, grew up in their mother’s kitchen, learned from Mami to make enchiladas verdes and tacos acorazados, and moved to the United States, where the memory of Mom’s food pulled them back into the kitchen.
